Larry Spoth, the CEO of Retirement Protection Solutions, hopes to build a dominant financial advisory firm and needs a robust website to get him there. As an advisor, Larry always strives to help each of his clients achieve their unique goals. He prides himself and his company on their honesty, integrity, and high standards which go above and beyond industry standards.

Past Website Designs

Larry Spoth and Retirement Protection Solutions have been working with The Impact Partnership for 10 years. When they started working with our team, we developed a simple website with blue, black, and white color blocks to get the company’s information out to the public.

As Retirement Protection Solutions grew, we redesigned the website to be more engaging and modern than the previous one.

Problem Statement

The current Retirement Protection Solutions website has helpful content, but uses plain techniques to draw the viewer’s eye, has a simple layout, and could use a more modern design.

First, how can we modify Larry Spoth and Retirement Protections Solutions’ website so that it becomes a leading, up to date, financial services website? Second, how do we help Retirement Protection Solutions to attract more wealthy clients, leading to them becoming one of the top small financial firms in the Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia area.

Research

Because we have a 10 plus year relationship with Larry Spoth and Retirement Protection Solutions, we have plenty of information to use to rebrand this website.

In addition, my team and I researched the Washington, D.C. area and culture to understand what might drive someone to start or continue their financial journey with Retirement Protection Solutions.

Lastly, my team and I did a deep dive into exactly what makes certain financial companies stand out above and beyond others. We plan to use this style when developing Retirement Protection Solutions new website.

Users

After completing the research portion of this redesign, my team and I were able to refine our user persona. In this instance, our user is Abigail, a wealthy 50-year-old, woman who has been investing for years but wants to plan for a more luxurious retirement than her previous financial advisor was planning for her. She can be a little riskier with her money based off her and her family’s financial capabilities.

While many other clients might not be in the same shoes as Abigail and her family, we have learned that people that are in the top tier of wealth enjoy traveling, eating well, living in luxurious homes, and donating money to local charities. We would like to help Abigail achieve all the goals she has when it comes to her retirement.

Redesign Goals

Create a classy, high-end website to match Retirement Protection Solution’s high-end clients.

More engagement with rollover effects, background pictures, all highlighting the Washington, D.C. area.

Use of more modern design techniques other than just white text on a blue background

Continue to cater toward high end clients and allow for exponential growth with that demographic.

This website is a higher-end modern website that will draw in more of the type of clients that Retirement Protection Solutions is looking to acquire.

The new Retirement Protection Solutions website is more dynamic and engaging for the end user.

Finally, this new website will help boost Retirement Protection Solutions into a leading financial services company in the Washington DC area.
